Wind blown snow under center dome
Hi all:
We have two Nesting Bird 16' yurts, now Ranier, which we have been very happy with over the last 14 years. They are at 8,000+ feet in a very snowy and windy area of the Northern Sierra Mts in CA and we visit them on weekends. One issue that we haven't been able to solve is wind blown snow forced under the center lip and accumulating in a cone inside the yurt. We have tried stuffing towels into the edge, gasket material, duct tape, ... all of which fail to keep out the snow when we have very high winds. My next try is some sand filled tube socks!
Has anyone solved a similar problem?
