Default replacing hook and loop on windows

We have a 11 year old yurt. the hook and look is worn out on the windows. Any ideas on how to replace them. We have a 30' yurt and taking it down to restitch new hook and loop is not an option.

Do you have a photo? I am assuming you mean the grommets?

I think they mean the velcro on the windows?

Yes Velcro, Its stitched on. Im thinking we may have to remove the worn out velcro and use an adhesive to get the new stuff on.

It might only take 5 minutes if you had a sewing machine, but like you say it isn't an option to take everything off.

There's always a seam ripper and hand stitching.

There are hand-held stitchers/sewing machines, but I suspect the cheap ones wouldn't handle the thick canvas. For $15 or so it might be worth trying though.

If you have a Pacific Yurt we do offer replacement kits that can be installed while the yurt stands, however we are not able to provide parts for structures that we did not manufacture.

What would such a process generally entail, while we are talking about it? I have often wondered what I would do if the velcro strips ever worn out on my Pacific Yurt. So far, they still look brand new though after 4 years!

The basic idea is that the new strips get adhered and riveted over the original strips.
