Default looking for canvas preservation substance

The fabric of our yome (dome/yurt hybrid) is mildewed and stained in some places. I mean to spray it down thoroughly with vinegar but I am wondering if anyone has had success with finding a mildew preventative coating of some sort. I would also like to preserve the canvas for longevity. I thought of beeswax or a beeswax and linseed oil combination, but that would inhibit the walls from breathing. I also want the coating to be clear so that light can still pass through the walls. Let me know if you have any ideas on this. Thanks!

Many years ago I tried removing mildew spots from cotton canvas using a weak bleach solution. There was some fading of the spots. I can't remember the ratio of bleach to water, but that info is likely on the internet. Other than that- good luck.
