OK, I'm in real late on this. I really can't make out what I'm looking at in that photo. It appears to me that the rafters are not pointing to the center of the ring. If that is what you are referring to as spiraling, you certainly do have it. Spiraling is not good at all.

The rafters need to oppose eachother and point to the center of the ring. There could be a complete failure of the roof if they continue to get out of alignment. A good ring design is like mine, where the rafters are fitted into slots in the ring. Literally impossible to get out of position, regardless of the yurt rocking and rolling in a strong wind.

If you are redoing the ring and rafter setup, I'd really try to get everything in proper alignment, and have the entire system anchored so spiraling is impossible. But again I really don't know what the heck I'm looking at. Whatever you do, think safety. You don't want a friend of loved ones to get hurt. Good luck.

Just an update on how we are dealing with the problem. Lots of tightening if bolts and jacking. Roof joists are just about aligned all the way around now.

Good job. It must have been a painstaking process but progress nonetheless. Are you planning on attaching the rafters in some way to prevent that situation again?

As you can see in the picture, there are brackets between the roof rafters that are bolted together (except for one pair). Between that and the ring we are hoping not to see more spiraling, at least not in our lifetimes! To much more would have required more time and money than we have to put into the project.
