You could always build it under an existing tree(s).

too short! our summer sun has such a wide arc, and is so high, that you would need an arc 220º of high trees to shade it completely. its crazy!

Well, I would expect that you are going to have to deal with the heat or get a generator.

For quick growing shade trees, Silver or Red Maples could be a good short to mid-term fit, maybe longer too. Various poplar hybrids would probably be the best though, at least quick height & cost-wise. Willow has potential, too, and is easy to propagate. The lighter (weaker) woods often grow faster than the hardwoods. I don't know what's available in your neck of the world, or what soils you have either, climate, etc. Maybe something to ask locals/a nearby plant center.

I'll work on finding some good adsorption cooler links.

Wikipedia is always a favorite first recourse for learning more. Be sure to peruse the absorption page as well and maybe check out the commercial offering (likely very expensive & overkill).

I don't know what technical level is most appropriate, but here is a pretty good overview of adsorption cooling capabilities with general system parameters. If you're very inventive & handy this would almost be enough to design & make your own system.

There's a lot of references in there.
