I know absolutely nothing about the weather in HI, but probably consider some kind of covering over your stove, just in case it is raining. Yes, you will be in for some new thought processes when it comes to furnishing/decorating a round room. Nobody makes rounded furniture it seems.

there's a few people on the big island who do this as a living. I've found some awesome cabinetry people in Hawaii. They use custom wood and their work is just beautiful! P.S. The weather in Hawaii is about 80-85, rains a lot depending on the part of the island or which island, but it doesn't ever seem to rain days on end. More like showers and then stops, clears up. I plan to get a dehumidifier for my yurt on the big island.
