Welcome to the site! I use solar up at my yurt camp, but it isn't a full time setup. Solar is great, but you should also consider backup power, such as a gas generator and wind. If you plan on cooking with propane, then a propane generator might be a good idea. You shouldn't have to use it too often, but when the time comes, it will be nice to have it on hand.
