Storage inside yurts - any problems? Tricks? Mold issues?
Hello!
I've been enjoying reading around the threads in this category. This is my first post.
I'm from the UK and I've slept a couple summers out in a bell tent and found that everything stays pretty dry - that is apart from under the rugs that were layered over a PVC floor - I guess there's zero air circulation there! And underneath the blow up bed - plastic on plastic..
I'm moving into a yurt as a bedroom/living space (with bathroom/kitchen/compost loo elsewhere).
Someone said 'once you start putting things in drawers and closing things up eg. clothes in a cupboard - that's when you start to get problems.
I'm interested to hear more about this, I've been looking around all over the web today for advice and thoughts and haven't done a great job on finding out anything about storing mold/damp-vulnerable items in a yurt.
My concerns mostly are clothes, books, anything made with fabrics.
What are peoples experiences? What are the tips and tricks and 'need to knows' when keeping belongings inside the yurt healthy?
