Default Sedona Backcountry Yurts: A new venture

Hi Yurt Forum,

Introducing

Surely Yurts

latest venture, a second production facility in Sedona, AZ!

We are currently building a 14' Triad yurt for the Unity Church of Sedona. They have ordered a special round Hobbit style door and some other interesting custom features. I will updated this thread with photos of the project as it progresses throughout the month.

PHOTO KEY:
#1 (Top) - New urban workshop (left), fitting platform, and yurt truck, we call this one "Sedona Backcountry Yurts". Mountain bike a must have in Sedona, the city has bike friendly curbs and some of the most amazing dirt bike trails in the world.
#2 - Floor joist layout for 14' Triad yurt at Unity Church of Sedona.
#3 - First layer of sub-flooring plywood finished on-site.
#4 - Fitting platform and top layer of sub-flooring for Unity Yurt at the shop.

Nice shop!

Those are some pretty hefty timbers you got--you mill them up into lathe & rafters yourself?

Also if I'm not mistaken, that would be a small windmill in your 5th photo--has it been working well for you?
