FYI a yurt that is solidly anchored to a well constructed platform is able to withstand strong wind. While not as strong as a well built house, they won't blow away until catastrophic wind is present. WAY better in wind than any typical tent design. My yurt withstands wind to 60 mph without any problems. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.
