Default Mice!

Hello and thank you for admitting me to the forum. I wanted to start a thread on all things preventative and clever when it come to protecting from mice. Today I receive a traditional 5 wall Mongolian GER from

Groovy Yurts

. When living in the yurt AND if in storage, how are you managing to protect the materials and living spaces? Thanks for the conversations.

Bucket traps work the best for me:

You can set them and collect them as often as you want. A little water and some bleach (or non-toxic RV antifreeze and bleach in the winter) and you're good to go.

A cat or two will take care of the mice while you are there. Jafos traps will kill them. Between the two I'd think mice won't be a problem.

If you leave the yurt for some time, leave nothing they can eat in any container they can chew through. I had dried food inside some glass jars with cork stoppers. They chewed through the cork, fell in and died since they couldn't climb the glass inside. What a disgusting mess that was. YUCK! lol Good luck.

Surely right, Bob.

But the owner of the park told in one of his videos, that his young lions only want enough to eat and to play and cuddle with humans. And conditioned in this way, they keep friendly to humans in older age....
