Default Look who visited my yurt!

I have a trail cam right by my yurt to take pics of various wildlife while I am away. When I was up there this weekend I must say that I was a little stunned when I saw THIS:

Yeah, it was still dark when the pic was taken so it was using that night vision. I haven't seen anymore moose this year though.

One of the many benefits of living in a yurt! Thats awesome! Has anyone heard any reports of damage to the yurt's canvas from animals? Bears, foxes, mountain lions., etc?

It happens from time to time, like any other building that is in a remote location.

I went out to my friends yurt about a month ago to check on it while he was away, a bear had ripped a 12' by 12' square and a little bit of

insulation

but nothing more! I don't know what would have stopped him, just lucky I guess. Easy fix.

We've had two customers having the exact same experience with bears, one in the Yukon and one in New Mexico. In both cases they had left food in the yurt... But bear never made it in.

a good friend in Gustavus, Alaska.....would ask....at the end of a salmon pot-luck...in her 20 foot PACIFIC......"OK.....who among you have solid walls in your home.....the leftovers can go home with YOU!!"
