I was chatting with Dana over at
and she told me about these wood stoves from Unforgettable Fire, namely the Kimberly Stove:
Here is a link to it:
About The Kimberly Stove For Boats, RV’s, Yurts, Cabins, Tiny Houses
It is a bit pricey, $3,700, but shipping is free. According to their site, you only need class A pipe for areas passing through walls, but nowhere else. I am not sure I would risk that, but am holding judgement until I ever get to actually SEE one in action.
According to the site, it only weighs in at 56 pounds and takes up very little room, while
up to 1,500 sq feet. Also, they say you can heat for 8 hours on one fill up. A few wood stoves say you can heat for that long, I would love to know if this one actually delivers that. Still, as many of us know, space is a premium in yurts and this looks like it could be one heck of a
solution.
It is also a finalist in the Alliance For Green Heat International Wood Stove Decathlon. Supposedly it burns woods very efficiently.

I wish there was a dealer near me, I would like to check one of these out for my house, much less the yurt lol.
