Re: Any people in Florida?
Yup. Lost my first 14' yurt in a blizzard. Wind picked the yurt off the ground and threw it twenty five yards. That blew it to smithereens. busted wood and ripped canvas looked like a crashed WWI bomber. That totally sucked since I had eight full days building it. My other two yurts were solidly anchored to a heavy platform and survived winds to probably 80 mph. But blizzards here in CO are typically WAY less intense than FL hurricanes. Something to consider. Good luck.
