Default Mulched the garden with grass clippings

I bought a new lawn mower this year and I got the bagging attachment because there is heavy debris in our yard from all the conifer trees. If you don't get that stuff off, it just smothers the grass. Well I decided it would work good as a mulch for the garden and so far it has:

You can see on the right where I mulched the garlic with hay, and it has weeds, whereas the squash on the left has none.

The mower cuts the grass and debris up pretty fine with mulching blades. I expect the mulch itself will be adding nutrients to the soil rather quickly. You already see worms and other beneficial bugs when you pull back some of the mulch and it keeps the soil moist.

I used to just use hay, but this thatches much better. I pick very few weeds, and when I do, I normally put more mulch on top of where I picked to stop them from coming back.
