a old thread i know but just like to point out that i have made 2 rings/tonos using 4mm ply strips 100mm wide. i first one which i am sitting under as i type this was glued together using epoxy...

i have used a tree bog for about 10 years, actually 3 different one now. very simple totally hands free no maintenance,plus you get usable wood as well. for one person a one metre square one lasts...

just reading this as i am deciding on my insulation. i think i am going to go for 24 mm of wool carpet felt in tyvek bags. not sure what sort of tyvek yet. as regards the question of fires in yurts...
