West Coast, South Island NZ Ger Erection
kia ora koutou! We live outside Hokitika and have just erected our first Ger, bought from Colorado Yurt Co new and shipped here due to the severe wet and windy climate. She is a 20 footer/6m diameter, on a fairly substantial deck, on 22 acres of regenerating podocarp bush which is our off-grid home. Floor to be completed next week with tongue and groove matai, then wood burner. Consent will tentatively be granted after a meeting with the local District Council confirmed that our structure would meet critical building code requirements. Anyone in NZ keen to come have a look get in touch :) Cheers JV
