If you rent that yurt you better make sure your gas appliances meet safety code. Same for bathroom, electric, plumbing, compost toilet etc.
If you have a renter in your 'rental yurt', and there's a fail that can be tracked back to lack of permitting and/or code violation, it will be a life changing event, and not a good one. Renting is a VERY BIG deal nowadays. Think about that.
That said good luck

Good morning,
Thank-you for this information. The yurt was on the property when I bought the house. It has electricity. It is hooked up to the main house electrical panal. He also had gas piped in, but when I had someone look at the propane stove in the yurt, he said it was illegal to pipe in gas. For it is okay but not for a stove. I do not plan to install a stove that requires gas. I will have a hotplate, microwave, and a mini fridge. No inside bathroom or shower. I'm hoping I can get a compost toilet and shower outside the yurt.
