Looking to purchase a 30' yurt here soon and am looking for some thoughts on the pros/cons of a Shelter Design vs. Nomad Shelter yurt. Live in a climate with very cold winters so good yurt set-up.
A few things in particular that I am curious about
:
1.) The nomad shelters have their wood-stoves going out the
. This seems to make sense in terms of heat retention and stove ventilation but not sure how big of deal it is. Also, a bit harder to come up with floor plan when stove is in middle of yurt. Should where stove is vented be a big deciding factor when selecting a yurt?
2.)
have sip floor/platform whereas Nomad doesn't. Has anyone bought a yurt and then gotten a SIP floor/platform from somewhere else for their yurt?
3.) Nomad will customize their yurts to accommodate more
between yurt but not sure shelter design does this. This seems like it might be a big perk
4.) Read a few reviews online of folks who ordered nomad yurts but said they did not get them when expected and are still waiting to get them. These could just be few disgruntled ppl but does make me a bit concerned to be waiting indefinitely for a yurt that would need delivered in a reasonable time frame (6-7 months).
Any thoughts on this would be great! Thanks!
