Smile Newbie with questions

Hi...
My husband and I are considering a yurt or other tiny house for a piece of raw land we're buying. It appears Spirit Mountain may offer the most affordable package for the features we'd like. Does anyone have any experience with this company or these yurts compared to the other manufacturers?

Also, any advice or pros and cons about yurt living are greatly appreciated. We've been living in traditional housing and are downsizing our life to gain financial independence so this will be quite a change for us.

Thanks for your help.

I actually joined this forum because I had done the research and found lots of negative reviews all over about that company so knew I didn't want to opt for buying one from them. But was curious to find out if other companies offered similar solid walls and windows.

Other companies who have great reputations do offer the solid window feature but tend to run a little higher cost. But you get what you pay for, and if your going to be living in it, you don't want problems.

Pacific Yurts

offers real window upgrades as does

Colorado yurts

and

Rainier yurts

. If you want wood interior walls, it would be easy enough to buy tongue and groove boards to line the walls with.

I am still have about a year or so till I get land to put up a yurt, so I can't speak from experience. But you might want to check out what others have to say about that other company.
