Re: Looking for someone that has experience in financing a yurt as a permenant reside
Keep in mind, plans 'stamped' by any company basically means that an architect has looked over the platform plans and stamped them in the manufacturer's county. Codes vary state by state, and even county by county. This means that you will need to pay to have them re-stamped if you live outside of that state, unless the architect is licensed in multiple states. Even then, a 'wet stamp' is typically required, which means paying for the platform and yurt structural plans.
What it does mean when a manufacturer has 'stamped' plans, is that usually you can be sure that they've done their engineering specs. That is HUGE. That is what separates a solid, permanent capability of a yurt from some of the yurts that should really only be used as a temporary structure.
