Note: are a whole different ball of wax than most of the yurts discussed here. They are actually considered a 'stick built' structure, not a tension/rebounding structure. They are much easier to get loans on because of that.
I wouldn't call to attention the shape of the house to the bank if I were going with stick built, even if it were circular-ish. It is irrelevant, really. A house with the same number of bedrooms, bathroom, and square footage should suffice for comparison. Square houses would typically come in at a lesser value than the unique shape of a Smiling Woods yurt, but that's in benefit of the bank. If you're looking to do a comparison of actual shape in 'stick built' terms, look for houses that have sold with the tags 'multi faceted' or the like.
are not at all in the same realm as Geodesic, Monolithic, Cobb, more traditional Yurts, or other types that make banks nervous.
