Default Anyone? Combine shipment of DOMES to Northeast?

I'd like to order a new

dome

from

Pacific Yurts

soon for my 20' yurt. Is anyone in New England or even NY interested in sharing an order/shipping. I'll pick up at your place or meet in the middle. The new domes have a much improved material. Need to order soon! I've talked with PY and they're willing to piggy back two domes in one crate. Let me know if you want to order or know of anyone interested. Thanks, Randy Richards, Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region, NH.

You will save a boatload of money ordering the

dome

from California Quality plastics, molded to your specs.

Excellent quality products.

Just a thought.

If you don't find anyone, you might want to find a local truck driver in your area who may pick it up for you cheaper. Just a thought.

Welcome to Yurt Forum Randy! I have heard a lot of great things about NZ! If you have time, I would love to hear your take on it!

Randy
Are you familiar with white mountain yurts~ very close to your area in NH?
Paul is the owner~ most of the stuff they use is from

Pacific yurts

Just a thought
I am going to check out California Quality plastics too as they sound interesting.
A double layered dome in cold climates adds

insulation

too

bss, thanks for the lead on the California plastics. Jafo, Yeah, NZ is amazing, we're headed back soon. I'll fill you in. Love this Forum!
Lastly, thanks for the lead on the local yurt manufacturer in VT, I'll check them out today.

CorinaRose, correction.

White Mountain Yurts

is teamed up with Colorado Yurt for many of their parts as well as their engineering, not Pacific Yurts. Pacific doesn't work with any others in the industry that I know of and will not provide parts for yurts unless they're proven to be their own.

Aloha Yurt Forum!

Default Alas, still looking for someone to piggyback a dome order to New England

Hey HI Yurts,
Thanks for the info, although I've had a reply from

White Mountain Yurts

, who has asked for the diameter of my dome, (not my head). But I think original equipment will be important. So if anyone wants to piggyback a dome order to New England, please let me know! We'll save a bundle on shipping.

You're welcome~
We have replaced several PY Domes with the domes CYC uses, usually because of shipping costs being so expensive out here unless those big domes are on a bulk shipment. It should work just fine if the ring is a standard 5' diameter. We have done both scenarios, of re-using the original dome lifting hardware and also retrofitting CYC dome lifting hardware to a PY. Best of luck!
