Default Wire for a crown?

So just an idea - I'm building a portable 20' yurt/roundhouse with roundwood after this design... Portable Roundhouse Workshops | Huckleberry Leonard and had an idea...

I've got wire going through the bottom of each rafter for the roof - what about fencing wire at the top instead of the crown? Just drill holes and thread the wire ...?

Silly or might make sense?

I think the bolts are pretty key in the roof strength. I'd stay with the bolt system. My suggestion is to build the structure as they suggest. Then once you have learned 'what's what' make a decision about wire. I'd have to look at that structure in person to really understand how the roof works. Have fun and good luck.

fencing wire is not flexible enough, you need something like a cable rope. Something with mulpitable layers.
