Aloha Froit! Long time no see! I hope you are well. In the poly domes we use metal eyebolts through the domes, buffered with rubber lined washers to reduce cracking factors. Eyebolts connect to sturdy springs and some back up cables to the ring. That gives it the flex needed that you bring up, when closed or open.

Hey Birch I have been in manchury next to mongolia, and yes the yurt will lauth at that they have that plus tornado will pick them up and take them for a ride and another famely will just push them back over put skins on them and start living, I have built 10 and my lovely famley has stole them all one went to michigan and alaska and sold it there never so much as a single fear lound in wind storm tho but felt safe they worried about there animal in regular barns witch did fall down, that is why they left there nice warm yurt, but anckor the yurt insulate to hell and back and get tougth skin I have one now a 40 foot one that I built the ring is what determend the stregth not the cover over it you have to remeber that is the smoke hole after all, I want to get a plastic

dome

to see what they are like but I do not know where to get one, so I build my own cover get creative and have fun, remeber get good wood wind and snow kit help but you can build all yourself I have tarp and that liquied rubber works great , I am looking for and easer way to dig a well then the old fashion slam medal bolt in break dirt and rock the put the collector in , it took me 2 days to get to a 100 foort with a 10 inch well casing plenty of power using the solar panel temp def bbetween the solar panel and the medeal in the panel box so I have power all the time and the tesla coil that is charged by the battery never short on power put most in the ground need more gadgets well sorry for talking so long just love yurts

Just make sure you build it in the robust style of Colorado Yurt Alpine package, and you should be fine!
