If I'm not mistaken Mongolian yurts always have a wall lattice at 45 degrees, and the walls look no taller than 4' on average in the photos and vids I have watched on youtube. Short walls are fine. I definitely like standing at the wall without ducking my head though. For me 4' would be too short. Just saying.
You need 12' stock to make an 8' tall wall, assuming the lattice runs on a 45 degree angle. 11'3'' sounds about right, but you'll need to buy 12' stock. Nobody sells lumber at 11'3".

My traditional Mongolian Yurt walls are 5 feet at the parimeter and it works well. You do have to duck entering.
