Installing a pellet stove - 24' pacific yurt

Howdy folks! Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for common wall boot or thimble to vent a Heat Tech 26" free standing pellet stove. We have 3in vent pipe that would be used with the 8in flashing provided by

pacific yurts

. We are hoping that the pipe would have minimal protrusion out of the wall, and minimal support would be needed. Also wondering if a tee is necessary for a pellet? I have been doing research*but can't find the exact parts. Again I know there are many options that can be applied here, but hoping the community might have some intel for first timers!

I suggest you contact your yurt manufacturer, pipe manufacturer, stove manufacturer. Keep researching and eventually you will get specs sorted out.


This site has very little traffic. I've been here a long time and I'm not even sure there are specs for a 'code pipe through yurt wall' thread. Maybe Jafo would know. He has pipe through yurt wall I believe. Wish I could help, but unfortunately zip is what I got. Stove pipe through yurt wall is definitely above my pay grade. Good luck.

I would just use the through-the-wall kit that Pacific Yurt sells. That's what I used for my wood stove and it works fine.

The 8" stove flashing is typically used for a wood stove pipe rather than for a pellet stove. However, we do offer the flashing kit with a variety of hole sizes, so you can order the appropriate size for your vent pipe. With a pellet stove you will likely just need to install a "termination cap" onto the exterior flashing rather than a cleanout tee.
