Default Floating vs. Fixed Floor

Im building a 24ft. yurt in Northern California, wet winter hot summer. Yurt will be

Pacific Yurts

, winter

insulation

package. The floor I'm putting in is pre-finished 5" wide mini-bevel T&G Madrone on top of 1&1/8 ply (already purchased). I would appreciate opinions on pro/con of floating floor. Yurt will be heated by wood. I have heard that constant fluctuations in temperature/humidity can lead to premature warping/deterioration with floating floors. The cost and ease of installation is not important to me. I'm interested in performance, longevity and durability. Any info will help. cheers

I can't speak to a yurt, but I have one in my home and as long as you leave enough room for expansion, you shouldn't have an issue.
