Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. I think the ramp approach will help immensely. I had that idea originally, but didn't think of backing it with an extension ladder.

It still sounds like we need more than three people, but we'll give it another shot.

When I put my roof cover on, I laid the fan folded cover on a scaffold, and with three people, began to hand it up, and the next person, handed it off to the next until we had it centered on the ring. We then, from the inside nestled it into place. It worked like a charm.

The cover on my 16'er was 17 oz /yd treated canvas, and very heavy and bulky, and that was just the top cover. The wall was a seperate piece. Anyway, I stood on a ladder in the ring hole and just muscled that sucker after I had it bunched up on the rafters, then got into the center hole in the cover while still on the ladder, and started it down the opposite side. Massive pain in the rear, and that was just a 16'er. This is yet another reason why I find the thought of a 50' yurt totally absurd.
