Did you curve your countertop to fit the wall?

Part of my kitchen is going to be along the outside wall.
If you made your countertop curve, how did you go about it?
Make angled cuts?
Ding one that is extra deep to cut?
Thinking about maybe trying concrete as it can be any shape I choose.

Additionally: I’d love to hear about backsplash techniques

I don’t particularly like a counter in the yurt against the wall, as I like to be facing people in the interior. I build shelves on the outside wall for food. Dishes, etc. So, i put an island counter a couple of feet from the face of the shelves, with a counter top 2 burner propane stove, haven’t put the sink in yet.. I glued a number of red maples 2”x 6” up to 24”, put a stake in the yard symbolizing the center of the yurt, placed the countertop on the ground at the appropriate distance , used a pre-measured string and drew and arc for interior and exterior of counter. Mounted on legs with open shelves .

I curved the counter, but was not against the wall. I also curved the back of the shelf unit , as it was against the wall
