Default cutting lattice for chimney - any advice

I'm going to be installing a woodstove chimney through the wall of my nomad yurt and I believe I'll need to cut one section of the lattice out to make room for the chimney. I had planned to build a support structure on either side of the hole, similar to the framing for the doors and windows which the lattice 'clamps' to, to relieve any stress that might result from cutting away a section of the lattice. In preparation to do this installation (which I find very stressful - I really don't like undermining the wall strength like this) I came across this video:
where the section of the wall section is simply cut away, and no reinforcement is added. Am I worrying too much? Anyone have any advice?

I bought mine Traditional Mongolian Yurt with a section already cut out and I placed triple wall pipe with a through the wall kit and no problems.

This may help you. Here is how I did the exact same project:

I'm installing one using Jafo's pics as instructions, working great so far.
