Buildling a Yurt for festival in Berlin Germany

Greetings Yurt Forum!

I am setting up an area at four festivals located around Berlin Germany.

The centerpiece of this area will be a yurt.

As this is the first time we are doing this...I really really need:

advice, instructions, tips, tricks, and contacts

-related to:

sourcing materials, setting up the structure, and maintaining it.

To those interested: The space I am settting up will really be something special, an oases of sorts inside the middle of an arts and music festival.

We will be offering:


Tarot, Psychics, Mediums, Shamans, Witches, Warlocks, Healers, Shamans, Witchdoctors, Demi-Gods, Semi-Gods, Goddesses as well, Yogis, Yoginis, Gurus. Magicians.

Numerous Rituals and Ceremonies: SUNSET and SUNDOWN rituals, Planetary, Moon, and Astrological. Crystals, Music and Sound Rituals.

Workshops will also be offered and given to the guests, in many different areas.
Yoga, Meditation, Chi-Gung, Massage, Energy Healing, Kirtan, ETC

SO...
as you can see, I have a lot of work cut out for me.
the first festival is JUNE 16th to the 18th.

Hi Morgan

I suggest you build something portable rather than one of the permanent yurts. This way you can set one up easily in under an hour. Take down is even quicker and transportation can ne on the roof of a car!

I have used many yurts and rented loads to festivals for just the same purpose. If you check out my website, you will see the

camping yurts

that i manufacture. There are a few companies that make them in the USA, but that wont really help you being in Germany. I beleive there is one company in Germany though. There are several in the UK.
I sell plans for 12, 14 & 16ft yurts. I could probably help you out if you wanted a 20ft.
My plans show you how to build everything except the sewing the canvas. You could order that from me or try and make it yourself if you can find treated canvas. An alternative cover is a parachute, quick and easy.
