Building some yurts

Hi Everyone.

I just stumbled across this forum while looking for yurt crown options so i thought id share my yurt build with you guys and girls.

Im currently building 3 21ft oak framed yurts for our yoga retreat in France. I'm building them together with a good friend and one of the yurts is for him..

So far we have used close to two cubic meters of oak per yurt which doesn't include the solid oak floor.
All the oak is well seasoned and we kind of rescued it as its been outside for 10 years very slowly degrading.

We are about half way there on two of them as they are identical and I will build the 3rd one during the next two months..

Our plan is to do everything including sewing the canvas,

insulation

and liners.

Its the first time we have made yurts so its a learning curve and the next one will be a lot faster.
