Building a yurt shared experiences please ☺️

Hi, I am really taken with the idea of buying and living in a large yurt. I am hoping to buy the land and have access to electricity, internet and water. I am living in the north or England and am wondering if anyone has any experiences/ hiccups/ issues/ failures/ successes/ general advice that they would be willing to share about there process?

Sounds like you want to get a 30' yurt and fully develop the land with well, septic, gas, electricity etc. A full on yurt build from scratch on land you develop. That is gonna cost some money. You need to get a basic financial plan together with a rough idea of costs. Then investigate getting a loan before you invest a lot of time in this idea. Some lenders will not loan money for yurts, and others will. If you can secure the financing, then yeah, go for it. Professionally built yurts make for a very nice and affordable home.

You did not say what your experience is, with Yurts? Are you solo? Have you put a budget together? Most importantly, have you spoken to village officials concerning building codes, and the process to apply for exceptions . My Yurt is in a town with no building permits, my other house is in another town where they have just ruled against fultime Yurt dwellers. Forewarned is forearmed.
