? Being approved the yurt under the California Building Code

Anyone has been approve the yurt as residence under the California Building Code? I need your help. If you can tell me how your jurisdiction approved your permit, please let me know. Then I can tell the building department here to completed my project. Many thanks!

i was approved as a permanent residence in Montana. Had to put in

insulation

which meant the design had to change a bit. We bought through

Shelter Designs

. But I did the GC and the building permit work.

Mabel - I posted a reply in to your other post, also. a yurt from a reputable company will easily meet all the building permit requirements (you will need an engineer approval). the only thing that will hold you up is the

insulation

. as i said in my other post, we changed the design slighly and were able to do it in Montana where the requirements are even higher. Send me a private message if you'd like to talk more about it.
