30 ft yurt from scratch

I was working on getting bamboo planted this weekend, and as the weather is going to hold out for a little I uncovered the platform and got a decent updated picture. I still have to build a small 8x8 front deck and finish installing some corner pieces but I thought I would post an update.

For those interested in the bamboo, I used old mulch dye bins as planters (they are about 3'x3'x4' and have a spout at the bottom to drain water) which most places that make mulch will give away for free. I cut the tops off and transplanted the bamboo from a friends bamboo patch. This will provide a nice privacy screen when it fills in.
