"Hi Mama. Where is your land at? Curious about what you don't like about your existing radiant heat?

Most people seem to love systems if they're installed correctly and functioning well. "

Land is outside Leavenworth about 10 miles.

The radiant heat - I think would be better utilized if it were a full time home. we have it in a log cabin that is mostly used for a weekend or so at a time, in the winter we end up using our propane fire place or electric heat to get the space up to warm in a more timely manner. Once it is up & going - it is definitely cozy - we just end up having to supplement. So its more a matter of current use pattern than anything.

Couple other thoughts on the project. Screws or galvy nails sunk to half depth into the side of the redwood mud plate would tie it to the radiant slab. Also, if you kept the yurt to one side of the slab there'd be space on the pad to build a small shed that housed the boiler and mechanicals, and other stuff that goes in sheds. lol I'm off to work. Later.

One thing i forgot to say in my last post is make sure you use hepex pipe and not aqua-pex. it has an o2 barrier, and it would rust everything up pretty quick.
