Yurts In Hawaii

Hello All!

My name is Brittani. My boyfriend and I (both 26) are in the process of buying an acre of land on the Big Island in Hawaii and want to put a yurt on it. I have gone camping in yurts with family here in Utah where we currently live, and have been salivating at the idea of living in one in Hawaii. And now, my dream is finally coming true!

I have a few questions though, and I was so happy to find this forum, as now I have fellow Yurt-ers to talk to!

First off, what is the preferred method of powering your yurts? I read the post about the Solar Power generators, and love that idea! I also love Wind Power as both will be very abundant in Hawaii. What are the best products you have used, and how do you hook them up?
