Classic Mongolian Yurt Plans for Nepal

I urgently need to send plans to Nepal on how to build quality Mongolian Yurts.

Is anyone willing to help?

Thanks

Google: Clan Yama Kaminari

Click 'make it' on the main page. Then scroll down to the yurt/ger build, and click on that. I've built two of those. They are pretty close to what I'd call a trad Mongolian yurt. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Where are you, Orgyen Jigmed? What materials do you have for building things out of? What do you intend to use the yurt for?

Nepal itself is somewhat close to Mongolia--the cost of a yurt and shipping from there may be fairly low. There may even be a yurt maker in Nepal itself. Some of the yurt companies that import yurts from Mongolia might be able to help out a little more.

Paul King wrote a tiny book on yurts--The Complete Yurt Handbook; available on Amazon.com. But that's an English guy's take on them. You might be able to get more direct info locally.

Hi, we created SHOLUTIONS a non profit to supply yurt shelters in Philippines made out of bamboo.
We are actually making protootypes and are not yet ready to be able suply Nepal as well.
We develop machiery to engineer the bamboo to get srong and lasting yurt for people affected by typhoons, earthquacke and other calamities.
Once we are well on track we will give free open source yurt plans.
