Yurt Builders and Reps
 

Overal I am very impressed by the input from the various companys participating here. My yurt will be a composite of a number of their products although as much as it can be traditional with a platform under it and two conventional double hung windows in it.

Yves of Groovy Yurts has had some very good off site info which I appreciate.

Lots of good companys here, there was only one I have ever heard negatives about and she isnot represented here as far as I can see. Promised too much and delivered too little.

One thumbs up to SimplyDifferent Yurts that is mentioned several times through the site, he has had up an excellent site for some years now to plan and calculate dimensions for your yurt. My plans have greatly benefited from his site.

Is it easy to install and frame out a double hung window in a 24 foot yurt?

Yes, if you have some carpentry chops and a basic complement of tools. There's a comment on one of todays threads where someone did just that.

Simply Differently is run by a man named Rene, right? I met him at the World Yurt Maker's Conference in France many years ago. Great guy! And he was doing things that really helpful for the layman yurt builder. Wonder how he's doing.
