Wood Stove Size
Piggybacking on Yurtfolk's question here and Woodyrock's post here, I wonder if there are any general thoughts regarding size, or make and model, of woodstoves in a permanent yurt when winters get down and stay down below freezing regularly. (We don't usually get below 0, but we do regularly get in the singles and teens of a winter.)
We happen to have two potential stoves at our disposal, one a beast of a fireplace insert, and one a much more modest (smallish) step-stove. |
Re: Wood Stove Size
Just from what I have seen in my yurt, you are going to want one that can heat almost double the size of your yurt (sq feet).

Re: Wood Stove Size
Bigger is better in this case. you can always damper it back but you can not pump up a small stove.
