Tree house Yurt plans

My grandson loves yurts and he also wants a tree fort. So why not a yurt tree house? I found a place in PA that offers kits for them but they seem pricey. Thought I'd check to see if any one has any suggesting or lessons learned for just such a item,

I'd suggest talking with the manufacturer? I know zip about treehouse yurts. Been a member here for many years and never heard of them until your post. Good luck. Stay safe.

Re: Tree house Yurt plans

If this tree house company is the one we work with, then the yurt is one of ours. Our yurts are more traditional and therefor weigh much less than a yurt you live in.
The reason they seem expensive is because if the deck is around a central tree, the ring must be able to open out and go around the tree trunk. Likewise the roof canvas must also have a split in it that to around the tree and so, much more sewing and material has to be done to make it waterproof.

Making by a deck up in a tree is expensive, you have to use specialized hardware and just that alone, for a simple square or round deck is $1,000.
It’s not cheap to build one.

If you are looking to do something much cheaper, we sell plans of our various sized yurts, so you could do a lot of it yourself.

Hello how many trees are you planning to use if you use 3 how big is the platform, you can make your own yurt its not that hard to do you just got to make sure you have space for your roof , putting a yurt in a tree is no different than on the groud, just have to watch the weight, but it all depends on your platform.
