Our family of four (plus four cats) live in two 18-foot coppiced ash, Kyrgyz-style yurts. Both yurts have two doors at 90 degrees to each other and they are connected by one of these doors. The yurts have wooden tongue-and-groove floors and recycled wool insulation on the walls and lower part of the roof. The canvas isn't great and we'll be upgrading to polycotton as soon as possible. Maybe next year. Our living yurt has a Jotul F602 for heating, and our bedyurt has a "Louis" by Windy Smithy in England. This is a bit small for an 18-foot yurt, but we don't use it that much. We also have two 18-foot coppiced chestnut yurts and one 12-foot coppiced ash yurt that we rent out for guests. Our campsite is called écovallée and it situated in the South West of France, about 20 miles East of Bergerac.
