Platform/doorway/dripboard interface

Hi folks, this is my first time on the forum but looks like this is the place to come for help.
I've just finished the frame work for my

yurt platform

and should be fitting the boards in the next day or two. My area of concern at the moment though is how to finish the platform at the doorway.
As it's a round platform but the doorway is square do most people square off the platform at that point? Or is it better to just allow the platform to peak out from in front of the door? I'm just worried about rain pooling on the platform and making its way under the door.
Similarly, does the drip board end on either side of the doorway? It would obviously get tripped over if it didn't but it would be nice to see how others have done this in a neat way. Any photos and advice on how you might have approached this would be much appreciated.
