Check out tapered wall yurts. You can still get the plans from Dickinsons Reach. In my opinion concentric yurts are terrific for a family. They are easy to build. If you get a crew together you can build a floor and put up the walls of the inner yurt in a week. You can start small and add on. I always wanted to build a triple concentric!
