Will do, but at some other sites I've found the preview of images not always the same as the end product.
Inquiring minds still wonder.....is there a way to delete a post?

No, there isn't. You can edit out the contents though.

Floorplanner seems a good basic tool for figuring appropriate interior wall space and what might fit. Good fun for those w/o a yurt of their own, yet.

Here's a 30 footer that works for me, for now, on paper.

It includes a “bedroom” w a closet, a “living room” w a sofa bed, an entry area, and a wood stove on the downwind side and near the door to minimize the wood mess.
Still space for desk, bookshelves, etc.

I like the use of the space allocated for bathroom/kitchen.
The bathroom shows a couple of features that may not be used: stacked washer/dryer and conventional, tho small, hot water tank. Probably wouldn't shrink that space even w/o those features cuz the wall space opposite seems well used for the kitchen and closet.
Pocket door.
All water on one 2x6 wall.
Humanure composting toilet.
Kitchen includes 8 cu ft SunDanzer 12v fridge and freezer. The freezer has a work surface attached to the top and becomes the island.

The big gap in the exterior wall by the bath door in the 3D view seems to be a glitch, is unintended.

Wouldn't have happened w/o you, Jafo, thanks for hosting this great site.
Floorplanner's pretty cool, and the price is sure right.

I think Melissa will be impressed. Surely that is something she can use over there on almost a daily basis.

Oh my gosh! Thanks for posting all those photos, Djspn! As you noted in the mongolian yurt entry, Jafo, this is a visual medium. Now I'm seeing that FloorPlanner could really work for me. And I'm a little worried about how much time I might while away on it

I didn't see it until just now! Very cool! It's similar to what we do and this allows people to experiment and have a realistic example in mind before that stage.

Our draftsman is a wiz, (he used to design rockets and bombs and less wonderful things than yurts. We're glad he left that nonsense and came here! ). When he lays things out, he sends us this great extra, just for fun, to show to the clients. It allows them to virtually 'fly' through their yurt, all in 3D. I'll try to upload an example, it's not the full shebang, but it will give you an idea. The download will probably prompt you to okay the hardware use, it is safe to do so. I'm not sure if this will come through or not due to the type of file...
